My suggestions would be ...
1. Downld the "Offline" Java installer from here Java 1.5 (take the JRE) & install it 1st! 2. Get the "Offline" LW installer. Then try installing that. 3. If the offline doesn't work, then get the "Other" version. Just unzip & use. You'll see it on the downld page listed as "Other" under mac classic. ie: ? Other (OS/2, Solaris, Linux)
