A better way to ask...
Which Client works well and is not Adware/Spyware.
I like gnotella but somtimes it needs to be "halted" and relaunched. no adware. Bearshare is good consumer grade software. Its to bad it can't mind its own business.

how do I install gnutella softw. after downnloading it?
I just downloaded the gnutella software, Bearshare actually, and then I tried to connect by pressing the big green connect button. I just got the list of all the different gnutella software versions again. I thought the software installed itself after you download it. I'm using windows 98. None of the advice pages tell one how to install the software after downloading it. I have e-mailed the tech support people. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Do you mean the "Connect" button at www.gnutella.com ? To install bearshare you just have to double-click on the installer and then run it. As simple as that. You won't get any mp3s from that site.
