WIndows Explorer: Files Invisible

I have windows 98 and interet explorer 6. I have this problem with xolox 1.41 and 1.45 both.

when I open either "my documents" or "windows explorer", if I choose "view" (on the toolbar) and choose "details", all of my files (not just xolox ones) are invisible. this only happned immediatly after installing xolox. I can view files as small or large icons or as a list but not "details." THe only way I CAN view details is when I look at files in the Xolox toolbar. Why is this?
