internet connection idle

Hi!

When using Xolox, my internet connection (modem) doesn´t react after some time. Some times it´s a few seconds, sometimes half an hour or an hour. Then, even if I close the program, I have to shut down my PC to be able to use internet or Xolox again. What can I do?
