there is a feature to add gnutella hosts in the prefences section. does this mean that there are more places to look for the files i want and where do i find gnutella hosts to add.

I believe the option of which you speak is for adding specific gnutella-running machines to your connection list.
I'm unsure if these added connections are tried first or last during connection time. If they're tried first, then you could set it so that you always try connecting to a designated friend's machine at startup. This would ensure that his files would be checked during your searches. However, if the additions are put at the end of the hostlist it would mean that you can only use this feature to add a working host, when every machine in your list is not running gnutella (which shouldn't really happen if you've had it working recently). Anyone know for sure if these are tried first or last. I suppose I could add a machine on my local area network, restart, and then do a netstat after starting Xolox. But, I'm incredibly lazy. -3vi1 |
