![]() "The only downside is that you need the Microsoft .NET CLR to run it..." (from Swapper website) What kind of brain dead moron would program in C#, if it requires everyone to load Microsoft .NET onto their computer? I wouldn't be caught dead with .NET on my system. ![]() I read the article linked to above. It has nothing to do with the technology that swapper is using, other than that CLR comes under the same .NET nomenclature umbrella as what the article does talk about. What a dork. If you are a programmer for Microsoft platforms, then you will eventually be coding to the .NET CLR, guaranteed. So what was wrong with the decision to use C#? Now if you want to argue that Microsoft is incapable of providing the secure platform that the market will be demanding and therefore Microsoft platforms will soon be obsolete, then fine. But given their past performance and horrendous resources (and the market's lame expectations), I'd bet against that happening anytime soon. |

![]() Thats about all I could say or think..."your so big and bad? Wheres your wonderfull client...--what you don't have one??? awwww...go cry to mommy now!" .net?? its not that big of a deal, MS practicaly makes you install it anyway with windows update bugging you all the time for the update, and so if someone wanted to try programming in C#, more power to them. Most likely they just wanted to program something in C#, couldn't think of what to make and came up with Swapper! I personaly love this client. I also think that the .net helps it file size remain smaller... this is all IMHO, so take it at a salt grain, if that. |
