I want to know what lit means and what do you use to launch them.-

Don't worry about that response it was by a prankster. Which is a typical reason why you should not leave any identifying info such as email addresses, names, any other form of contact on your posts. I have edited these out for you.

.lit = Reader eBook File by Microsoft which would require MSReader.exe

There's 2 other forms of this extension but unlikely to be associated with them.
