Are u sure it's ALL your music dwnlds? That type of thing can happen if the file's sample/bit rate has been changed but I don't know about mp3's. Oh, I don't know if this is related but I did find this: Bugzilla Bug 852 fast playback on mp3's.

I also remembedr when I used to have SB Live you could change how fast it plays (and how it sounds, like chipmunks) if eany of you have a sound card check the settings

I know that lol
 I didn't mean the onboard one or the ch 16bit one, a good sound card that lets you do many things...these problems acure if you don't know how to configure these alittle bit more pro ones
