i am unable to get limewire pro to open any exe file downloads i receive message file corrupted and or after completing download limewire will not open for security reasons all other files i/e rar etc are ok help please, jack

I'm not a pc person so I probably shouldn't be answering this. But just to find out a few more details. If the app has not completed dwnlding, it's highly unlikely the app will be able to open. 2ndly, there are some compressed files that have security such as encrypted passwds. It might also be related to security on your computer, disallowing LW from being a go-between.Does this happen to all exe & compressed files or just some ?

yeh it says the last one cause the exe file could be a virus even though it is pretty unlikely that it is.

I don't think it's a good idea to have LW attempt to open exe files anyway. I guess it depends what type of apps it is you want LW to open for you. Is it a video app/ audio app. There apparently is a way. But as far as attempting to get LW to launch dwnlding exe's, I believe LW is limited in its ability to do this. Besides, how could LW open an app that's not totally dwnlded.

By the way ausiejack, do you have any problems with the time setting for this website? I have mine set to Eastern Standard but it's an hour ahead. If I try to correct it, the time zone offered is halfway b/w Von Deimons Land & Kiwi land. Something ain't quite right there! (unless you're from the west VDL? Oh I can't remember whether it was the Spanish/Dutch/Portugese who refered to here as VDL)
