I have downloaded a movie from limewire which it says DVD.AVI converted What I use is Media Player from Window XP. So I guess I should ry to find a codec for AVI as Media Player does not have it. I know it sound stupid and i AM SORRY about that but not to familiar with all that stuff video audio thing.

What yo need to do is download the latest version of WMP (windows media player) or power dvd so you can play them. you should have no problem playing these .avi files since I have both these programs and they work fine
