I downloaded the basic version of limwire this morning (and still have not been able to get it to work, but thats not your fault!). Anyway, it seems other programmes now are no longer working such as MSN instant messanger. How can I restore these progams to the way they used to be without uninstalling and reinstalling them all.....?
Please help?

From where did you download Limewire? I never heard read that other people have such problems as you, you should make a virus scan - this is very strange!

Thanks Morgwen, I just did a scan and its working again, it did find a virus.

btw, I downloaded it through the link on limewire.org (through to .com)

This is good, there are many scam sites out there and some are adding some "extra" features.

Keep your scanner up to date (once a week) and scan every software before you install it, don´t open attchments in eMails before you scaned them. this should help to avoid future infectio ns.
