does the more file i share make connection quality better?

If you have people uploading from you then yes, it enables you to connect to more peers & obtain better search results & more sources to dwnld from. Also there's some people who filter out those that share less than for example 5, 50 or 500 files. You wouldn't be able to connect to dwnld from those people if sharing less. So it can make a difference.
