![]() Try downlding VLC (has in-built codecs.) If the file won't play with VLC then chances are you got a hold of a corrupt file. You may need to try again. Try previewing the file whilst dwnlding with LW so you can know if the file is ok or not. But to peview the file it must have at least a few % already dwnlded, the more the better. eg: 1% of a 60 min video file will be about 36 secs. 5 % would be 3 mins. For a movie it should be over 500 MB in size or else it may be fake or poor quality. If you'er dwnlding recent release material, beware of T1 & T3 sources. ![]() hi there followed your suggestion and got hold of nero smartsuite6.3.1.20f and the d/l plays just as well through the showtime as it does through vlc however when i burned it through nero the video playback was twice the speed whilst the audio remained "normal" which is how it plays when through wm and real. Is this to do with the files codec, hard drive acceleration or is there something quite simple that i am missing or failing to do any suggestions mush appreciated thanx jason |

![]() Have you checked for any updates for your Nero? It sounds like a frame-rate issue. If so it could be for a no. of reasons. Are you sure it was the standard format that your dvd player uses? (ie: PAL/NTSC/SECAM - which use different frame rates.) Is your player compatible with more than one format? In my country all players are made to be compatible with them all. Some have switches/buttons/menu options on them so you can switch over to the other format. Did you try playing the disk on your computer? Some people change the frame-rate as a means of helping to compress the file. Did you burn it to cd/dvd? |

![]() ... Well pikachu, since you posted already then I figure you don't have a problem with that anymore. As for downloading to burn, you first must get a hold of a P2P application. If you already have one, then post back with the info.

![]() just to let you know how I've got on!!!!!!!! once downloaded, we were able to play thru vlc ! as suggested i got nero, which didn't really do the business until just messing around realised that the d/l i was trying to burn wasn't in a recognised format for dvd (has to convert .avi/xvid into vso/fob etc.. format) SO using the nero on one hand and another program on the other hand i was able to re-code the d/l and then burn it thru onto a dvd. so just to say thanks for all the prompts and help along the way!! jason |
