We need much more info from you before any of us can help you, OK ?
What do you mean, specifically, by 'device' ? Is it a program/software or a separate player ? What software or player ? What computer type and what Operating system are you using ? Once we know more, I am sure you can get the advice you need...

I think Murasame is the one to ask about this. I think there's a particular softw go-between required. I suspect that's your missing link. That's IF it's an mp3 portable device & not mp3 softw. Either that or you're not connecting via usb. Just a quick guess!

I am using a gateway 2000, running on windows 98se I can not get my godchilds portable device to download mp3 files it is a portable device purchased at Best Buy. DFP70/DFP72 Digial Autio Player. It says I need a file called Removeable Disk and I can not get it to load on my computer it does not show up when I plug in the device as it says it will in the manual. I have windows Media Player 9 loaded to do the transfer but I need this removeable disk file to do it or is there another way.

The problem is that Windows 98SE probably does not support that mp3 player. You will need to install the proper device drivers for that mp3 player. Finding these may be a problem.

Greetings Peerless,
I did the same except I did an msn search, and spelled the digital & audio correctly. I only got 2 results, of which none told what OS it worked with. I also did a search for removable disk file and came up with nothing. You have the best idea, about best buy |
