I have downloaded a program in the form of a zip file and now am unable to install it. I extracted it and there are only 3 files. One is a .bin, one is a .cue and one is a .nfo (msinfo) file. I don't know what to do now. I can't open any of these files. Do I need another program. Share-Reactor was part of the file name, so I searched for a program named Share-Reactor, but found nothing. I am new. Please help.
Thank you |

There are many types of bin files. BUT both bin & cue can also be cd image files. You'll need a dc burner app that recognises cd images. The full versions of Nero & Roxio will recognise them. Try burn each onto a cd-rw to see how the go. Many games need the original cd in oder to install/play/both. So a disk image gives you that identical disk.

Okay, first of all, thank you both very much.
I tried to burn the files, but I'm guessing that I have to have like a mirror image, or something, because it didn't do anything different. Not sure how to do that. I should have all the software to do the proper type of burning. If it helps any, what I'm trying to install is software. It's not music or video. I got the .nfo file open and it said the same thing you guys did. Burn it to a cd and then install. Did the burn part, but can't go further. I was expecting it to autorun. My next question is, I also downloaded the same program with a .rar file extension. What do I do with that one? I really appreciate your help! Well, I've been working on this all weekend and still can't get it running. I tried the .rar version that I downloaded, but didn't get far. So, I've tried to burn it several times, several different ways to a cd and it still doesn't work. Today I downloaded a good burning software. It pulled up the .cue file, so I tried to burn the image, but when I put it back in the drive, the cd is not recognized. I know that it is probably something simple. I'm just missing it somewhere. I have a complete version of burning software. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Just for the record, I have searched the help files and the forums for more info, but didn't find anything. I'm really getting frustrated and am desperate for this program.
