Question Deleting temp files without rebooting

Ive been converting windows media audio/video files to mpeg. I've made the temp file in virtual memory larger so I can convert larger files. To dump the temp file, so I can convert the next one, I have to reboot(I also edit a lot of photos)..........my question is:- can I dump the temp files without having to reboot every time and if so where are the temp files stored so I can highlight the files and delete them? I've looked in the temp and mini dump folders. I've done defrag/disc clean....you know the usual sort of things to get rid if rubbish, but none of them seem to get rid of the temp files that are created during the conversion, I still have to reboot to dump them.

I don't know the answer to your question, but my guess is these files (being temp files) are probably invisible. So you'd need to make all files & folders visible in order to locate them. But I'm sure there's a better way of doing what you're doing.

By the way I notice your previous post was in the Limewire section. Is that where you meant to post? LW Open Discussion rather than Bearshare Open Discussion?

Thank you for your reply, I do have hidden folders to be visable. With regards to where I have placed my question. Does it depend on which I use........BearShare or Limewire? What if I use both? Thanks again............

hahaha yes that's one way to get clear of the whipping stick! lol Yes it does matter. This section is dedicated to only BS issues. But unfortunately many people have been posting LW questions here without thinking or realising. The BS mods have been getting quite annoyed. Just as well I saw this 1st if you are only a LW user. lol

Thank you for the warning LOL. Although I use both it still would seem, by your reply, that I'm doing wrong by asking a non Bearshare or Limewire question.....whoops

No no, Open Discussion is what it sounds like. It means you can discuss your topic. But this would normally be for BS users here or LW users in the LW Open Discussion section. Actually to be more correct, this issue probably belongs in the Tips & Tricks section b/c it applies to neither program specifically. But is a general question about file use. But it's probably fine here! I don't want to be pedantic! haha
