Burning a CD from downloaded limewire files has not been consistently successful. When I use Windows Media Player and try to burn a playlist, very often it will hang "inspecting" the first file. When it hangs, it will burn with the MU4 setting, but then I can only play it in my computer, not my regular CD player!

I have checked licenses, etc., and I have made sure the file is in the proper location. I have set my CD burner speed at 2X.

I would appreciate any help! That it sometimes doesn't hang makes me think it's some minor setting I'm overlooking. This is driving me nuts!

It's my guess it's either at least one of the files is corrupt, or you've moved the location/deleted of one of the files. Check to be sure all the audio files play ok.

Yes, you're exactly right. What had happened was I had previously burned some of the tracks to a CD and the location of those files was now D:/... instead of C:/... I hadn't noticed this so when I tried to burn a new CD with those tracks, they couldn't be found.
