i just downloaded 1.7 and installed it on OS 10.1, the installation was fine but when I run the app, it never connects. I am not behind a router, firewall, etc. I'm on a cable connection ... LimeWire worked fine when I was in OS 9.2.1 so I dunno what is up.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I take it back, LimeWire finally connected after waiting for about 5 minutes.

I do not connect either -- even after waiting. I have DSL and it used to work on OS 9. In fact, it worked on OS 10.1 the first time I launched but not after that.

I am having the same problems. I am sharing a DSL connection with my wife's Mac (she is running OS 9.2.1) we are both behind a NetGear Gateway Router. She can connect fine from OS 9.2.1 but when I launch the app from OSX.1 it just sits there and won't connect, it just says it is establishing a connection with one of the listed servers.

Among other problems with my internet in 10.1 this is another one. I can't connect with with 1.7 either. Any fix out there?

I get the same thing. OSX 10.1 and limewire 1.7 will not connect for me.

Hey, how did you install LimeWire using Mac OS 10.1?? I double click on the Icon and nothing happens!! What should I do? Thanks
