Default unable to view any previews or video files

I have been downloading video files for at least 12 months, up until recently I had no problem previewing them prior to converting or burning to a blank disk, I have on my computer Media Player 11, Real Player v10.5, FLV Player v2.0, CyberLink PowerDVD delux version, & Nero 7 viewer player but I am unable to preview any movies at all, can someone give me an idea as to how to get around this problem. thanks I am not a complete novice to IT but I am also not super cluee' either, any help would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to all.

Try setting another player as your default. Also you can drag files from your incomplete files in the LW Library page and drop them onto one of your players to preview them.

Seems like as good as place as any to post my question. I have downloaded the movie ******** from many different hosts at different k/b 's but can not get any of them to play in any player. I have all the codecs I can find on this subject(a few codecs helped syncronise the audio/video on many files) but all players still will not support the format. What can I do to resolve this problem? I currently run xp professional, wmp10( cant run xpsp2, gunks up the system)
