helllo, I would like to know if there is a improper way to burn a audio cd, to be played in a typical household cd player. If so, how? thank you

Dudeman, Do you mean a right way and a wrong way. You say "improper". What do you mean??
Also what Media Player are you using to burn with???
You have to make sure the settings are set to burn an Audio CD and not a Data CD.

the right way. I am using nero 6. im paranoid cause I got a cheap mp3/cd player for my birthday and a friend burned some music for me and my player skipped and would say"error". I took it to a guy to fix my player and he said its not my player but how the my disks where recorded.now my player wont play anything well. so im gonna burn something for my parents for christmas and Im scared to mess up thier player. thanks for the reply remoc. some of us will return our knowledege once we have something to share.

I will tell you what I have experienced with Nero 6.
I received a copy with my DVD Burner and I could Never get it to work. Not sure why they give it out and advertise like you’re getting something extra. It never ever worked for me.
I also have tried WMP and I personally think this is a Big piece of Crap. It always needs Codec’s or something.
I got real tired of all the BS so I bought and downloaded www.avsmedia.com
As I said, it’s not Free but it is worth every penny not to have to deal with all of the other BS.
There are other Media programs that have burning software but I just got so tired of trying to get them to work, it was easier for me to buy a simple and dependable program that I can always count on.
Nero 6 is very outdated, so if you want to update to the latest version it will also cost you.
The latest version of Nero is about $ 90.00 USD I believe. AVS will do the same thing and more for a lot less. The whole bundle package is about $70.00 USD.
