I live in the uk and using XoloX is somewhat restricted because of the time zones. but sharing stuff is good.

I live there too. This isn't napster where you could search the whole network in a second either. Its gnutella, where you might not see it for several minutes if you see it at all. Always wait a few mins though, because nothing will ever (hardly ever) appear immediately.
I too, noticed the change when the Americans are online though. |

Hi,
I live in Europe too, so we have a very identical time zone. I noticed that the most files in gnutella are available at late evening/night time. Let your gnutella servant run the whole night... clear some never starting downloads (0%) after some days... wait some more days if you have BIG files in the queue... and you should get what you want. Hope it helps. Moak

I don't think it is a real problem and I'm from the UK too.
I get everything I need (apart from InterDev Grrrrr) in a short space of time. It doesn't really matter if the Americans are home from work. But, like Moak said, I find it better to leave the PC on over night. |

I find evenings better than night time.
although I'm on cable I also find that when I come tot he computer it seems to start getting the files faster so I am experimenting with StayOn a program that pings IPs to keep the session alive. i've said this elsewhere. |
