hello every one im cathy , can any one tell me why my computer will not let me open lime wire ??? i have a dell running windows xp....

Have you tried going into your LW folder (in program files) and opening the 'limewire executable jar file'?

Have you tried deleting your preferences folder?

i can down load lime wire and it will install but wont open

What versions of Limewire & Java are you running. Click on help and about Limewire and that will tell you.

OMG im having the EXACT same problem!!! have u tryed uninstalling and reinstalling like a bazillion times?

bjb, If it didnt work the first gazillion times why are you still doing it. Its probably a simple fix just give us something to work with. As I asked Cathy Please provide the info from the Blue Links above.

its not just lime wire my computer will not let me open any file sharing program ... it will install the program and i will have the icon but nothing happens when i click on it ... something that dell or microsoft is blocking it.. and dell wont tell me what it is !!! o'' ps did i tell yall that i hate DELL!!! but i do thank all of you for trying to help
