Default Greetings Folks. I have inadvertantly deleted all my files...

While performing a Java upgrade. It told me that they would be safe; now they are gone.

I wonder if anyone has experiance with how to recover them.

I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Default Perhaps I should have been more concise

Thank you LOTR for responding. I read your link.

The thing is that I was not the one deleting the files. They were disappeared by the Jave upgrade.

When it specifically stated that the upgrade would keep them all safe and intact.

So my question was/is has anyone else had this happen and what did they do?

My feeling is that they are there and I don't need a recovery program but just need to be pointed in the right direction to get them back.

Unfortunately I do not have the familiarity and or expertise with the Limewire codes and such to know where to look.

The only clue I can offer to someone that might, is: that after the upgrade; I was given the option of where to direct my LW files and I did change that as the old location contained my name.

So I am wondering if they are not in the previous file heading?

And if perhaps a sys restore might not work to undo the Java upgrade?

I have upgraded before and not had this problem. Sadly it was only with this latest and the above is the only thing I can think of that I did differently.

Again. Thanks for any hints or links or help of any kind.

I lost a lot of great music if I cannot recover these.
