Hi anyone that's listening.
I have a new mac OS X and I downloaded a movie from Limewire with a format XviD TS.avi. I have done everything I can to enable me to watch this movie but have been unsuccessful. I downloaded VLC and tried to open the movie using this but I am getting a message "content blocked - this media can only be played using the free DivoCodec. To download visit downloadz.divocodec.com" I then went to the website but there was no such website. I then searched for "divocodec" and downloaded this. The movie still did not play so after searching for some more info I found out that this is a scam. I have tried to open the movie with Quicktime and DivX but no luck. Can anyone tell me what I should do now? How can I watch this movie? p.s. I am not a techie so someone please help! |

It does sound highly suspicious if VLC can't open it. Another player to try is MPlayer. Whilst VLC & MPlayer are very similar in abilities, there's the odd thing each one can do the other can't.
