Hello all - I am new to Limewire - I have WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION - I tried to dl a video but when I tried to play it it said I had not dld the codec - I cannot find a place where I have the option to do that - can you help? If that is solved, do I have to dl again? Any help would be appreciated.

We generally recommend using VLC - (click on link) player as it has all the codecs built into it & can play all the video & audio formats you will find on Gnutella network.

To make it the default player, see Setting Default video app

Alternatively, see CODECs list for Movies/Audio/ Alternate players / Video help forums/ video-mp3 fixers

TYVM!! However, my first time on the new Limeware & picked up a huge virus...don't think I will play anymore...thanks again for your assistance!

We do provide lots of warnings about viruses & such on the forums. That's as much as we can do. Up to the user to be aware of such, as spammers have hit all p2p sharing networks to stop people like you. Looks like they succeeded in your case.
