Which OSX version are you running, which version of LW are you trying to use?

Ah .. just posted & saw your 2nd post .. that means your OSX is not compatible with the new LW 5. LW 5 requires OSX 10.5 Leopard & Java 1.6 which is limited to intel computer users of OSX 10.5

To downgrade to LW 4 .. you first need to remove the install limewire.pkg file from Receipts folder. Otherwise OSX will refuse to let you install an older version; Receipts folder sample image

tried it but still did not work I have had it working before but re formatted the disk and could not get it tio work again ..... i am dwnldg LW for the correct version 10.4.11 so have no idea
