Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Right-click the LW shortcut & choose Run as Administrator. Can also try right-clicking & choose compatibility mode change to XP.
If still no go, delete the LW preferences folder: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html
