How to change download file types

I've been using Limewire for a while downloading mp3 files with no problem. Recently, I downloaded a wma audio file and when trying to send it to itunes it asked me if I wanted to convert it. Now, almost every file I try to download is an au or wma file instead of mp3. Is there a setting that I can change to get back to the mp3 file formats? Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Slainte

All .au files are spammed junk. Likewise a reasonable % of WMA files are spam. Many of them dangerous (contain viruses & worse.)

Sounds like you are using LW 4?

Add .au and .wma to your keyword filters so they will not show up in search results. :) Make sure you put the dot in front of those extensions else you may filter out a filename that is good. ;)

If using LW 5 you will find keyword filter under Tools -> Options -> Search. Alternatively you could add to extension filter instead.
