beginner to any forums
 

Hey everyone, I'm tldbass from the great state of SC. This is my first time trying a forum (of any kind) and would like to get it right without to many mistakes. I would like to get the most from this form so if anyone willing help me I would really appreciate it.
OK, my O/P system is vista home premium, L/W 5.5.6 and using Dsl service. The whole reason for me being here at all was my attempt to install an older version of L/W after doing a complete restore of my laptop. I'll stop for now and maybe someone can let me know what to do from here. Thanks y'all :bangh:

Which version of LW were you trying to install?

Try right-clicking the installer & choosing Run as Administrator. Also, turn off all computer security whilst you are attempting to install then turn it back on after completion of installation. :) You will need to make LimeWire (LW) an exception in your firewall & other security software. ;)
