 Signed up and posting for first time I am not at all new to file sharing, but I am new to this forum. I have used Limewire and Bearshare over the years with little trouble. However my P2P of choice is the older version of bearshare. My reason for joining and seeking more up to date knowledge from the experts is a change of systems. I just bought a new HP laptop with an i3 processor, 4 gigs of ram, and Windows 7. When I try loading the old version of bearshare, it searches but does not connect. My old system with vista had this same trouble for awhile but it usually always connected. One of my main objectives is to get bearshare to work on this system (with Windows 7).  |

| Greetings Rand070357. Welcome to the Gnutella forums! I'm sure you'll find a few here who are experts at BS. Connection problems seem to be the number one concern here. You may find a few tips by reading the threads. Congrats on getting your new machine. |

| Before I joined I read through a lot of the forum posts. I wouldn't be surprised if I've read 200 posts by Aaron and Peerless and tried most of the fixes. However, Windows 7 may be lead to my last use of BS. Unless I find something soon. Thanks for the welcome. Quote:
