Hello Just say hello introducing miself... thanx :super: |
This system has me going around in circles. I have never posted before. My question is that I put a song in LimeWire to search for an it says that it already is in my music. I know that. I want to find other people that have made this song but I can't get to it because of that message. How can I get around that and look for a song that are ready have but by a new artist. I am using LimeWire 5.5.8 and Windows 7. |
LW is telling you that you already have the same exact file as the one's that show up in your search, even if it has a different name. LW doesn't go by filenames, it uses the file's "hash" identifier. So even if the name says it is a different artist or song, LW will recognize it as the same file. At the risk of downloading identical copies of music you already have, you could move the songs to a different folder before starting your search. |
