Question LimeWire Launcher Error

I have installed the LimeWire basic version 5.5.14 on my desktop computer. I have a Micromax USB 3g modem with Vodafone sim card inside to use internet. After installation , when I tried to start LimeWire it gave the following error message ==>

LimeWire Launcher Error : LimeWire needs the Java Runtime Environment 6.0 or above. Click OK to go to java.com: Java + You , where you can install Java.

I am also learning Java language therefore I have already installed JDK1.6.0 and JRE1.6.0 on my computer. Now if I try to install Java as directed by Launcher Error , the computer gives the meesage that the software is already installed on the computer and refuses to reinstall the Java. I am perplexed. What should I do now ?

Try Reinstallation Technique. However if you need the dev version of java, then this technique might cause an issue. But at least download the offline version & remove all other versions of Java first.
* Also, right-click the Java installer & choose Run as Administrator. It is possible to do this manually after installation if you check around the installation sections of the forums you will find how to do. If not sure, ask.
