I have receive the following error -

This installation package could not be3 opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installed package.

c:\Windows\Temp\_is7323\Limewire 2.3.4.msi

I followed all of the installation directions and nothing has happened.

What did I do wrong?
Can I fix it?

by any chance, would you happen to be using AOL? if so, please trash any current LimeWire installers you have on your desktop, and use a different browser, such as Internet Explorer, to download another installer.

I have the same problem as the user above ...can I download a different installer and use it without trashing Installshield?...and are their any options besides using a new installer? I have tried to find a thread of someone who overcame this problem and described in detail the process they used to overcome the problem...if there is one could you direct me to it?...

use whatever method you think will work. i'm not sure where the post is that you're talking about, but you can do a search for it.
