![]() Agreed--the installer doesn't recognize JRE 1.4. Nevertheless, it must be allowed to install 1.31 for the installation to complete. Let it install 1.31, and be sure to decline the option for it to update your browser. You want your I.E. Explorer/Netscape to keep the 1.41 version. Next--go to your Add/Remove Programs Panel, and uninstall JRE 1.31. Of course, when you go to start Limewire, it won't find the path. After a few moments, it will auto-detect the path for JRE 1.41. Select the autofix option and Limewire will open. A pain in the ***, but this is the only way to install it and use the program with JRE 1.41 Mike : ) |
