I keep getting this message when it is almost finished installing...
Error Number: 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub.
I have no idea what an RPC stub is. Could anyone possibly help me with this?

It has downloaded twice, but when the installer gets to the end of the second file, it just stops. Thanks.

I've downloaded it twice. When I try to install the software, it expands the files and then hangs. No motion, no movement. Any suggestions?

Wait one. I thought I'd add more info so jumped over to the install. Apparently you have to be online to install, and there was no mention of that apparent.

I got this RPC error when installing and used the program below to fix it on Windows 98. I'd recommend backing up the files that it replaces in your /Windows/System folder, just in case:

asycfilt.dll
oleaut32.dll
olepro32.dll
stdole2.tlb

When installing on Windows 98 you receive an "RPC Stub" Error.

To solve this issue, you will need to download a patch from Microsoft located here:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...S/mcrepair.exe
