Installer removes Icons and Start Menu Shortcuts

When I upgraded to 2.5.4 I had the same problem, and I put it down to my PC having a bad day.

I upgraded to 2.5.5 Pro today and the same thing happens.

1. Download LimeWire Pro.
2. Run Installer.
3. Watch as Installer removes Start Menu Shortcuts and Desktop Shortcuts for launching LimeWire.
4. Wait for installer to replace missing short-cuts
5. Repeat 4 ad-nauseum.

Anyone have any ideas? I've serched the forums and FAQ's and can find no mention of this strangeness.

Incidentally, if any of the developers read this.... in the download screen, when sorting on the column "Download Speed" is there any chance it can be sorted numerically rather than ASCII?

Currently a sort decending on this column sorts 4Kbps as a faster rate than 35Kbps

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. So, the installer never successfully adds the shortcuts back? What version of Windows are you using?

I have just upgraded from 2.5.4 Pro to 2.5.5 Pro and encountered same problem.... desktop icon and entry in program list of start menu are gone!!!

I'm running Win XP Pro.

Disappointing... for a P2P client I've actually paid for!!!

We're working on solving this problem now. To get your shortcuts back, try uninstalling and reinstalling LimeWire.
