Shared folder problem

installed LW 2.6
set up refuses to allow existing download/saving directory (g:/mp3/download) to be selected - I get the message 'Invalid directoy for saving files. Please use another directory or revert to the default'
I had this same problem last time I upgraded but I forgot how I got around it!!
Any suggestions
