![]() ...Finally fixed it after 10 minutes of screwing around. Get yourself regcleaner.exe (search on the net). Run it and delete all the limewire crap you can find. Delete all the limewire directories on your machine (don't delete your downloaded mp3's and stuff tho). Finally: (this is the thing that finally fixed it) RUN REGEDIT. Go to EDIT and FIND. Type 'limewire' and delete every key you find that has limewire in it. I've had about 8 versions of limewire on my machine and there were about 30 keys left throughout my registry even after the regcleaner. Really old keys from version 1.6 through 2.4.4 and 2.5.x re ran installer and it worked. if your problem is different post after this??? So i can help RCTEMPIRE |

![]() Howdy rctempire! I have followed your directions, and I am still getting those two errors appearing after trying the installer. I have used RegCleaner, and followed your directions for using regedit to look for "limewire". My system tells me that it is clean of Limewire, but when I try the installer (either from opening it rather than downloading, and by downloading the installer as well) I get the same blasted error messages. 1714 and 1604 ;( Any ideas? I am using Windows 98 (first edition). Thanks, S |
