please help

I am having difficulty loading limewire
the error message I get is ASERTION FAILURE and it goes on to refer to prog files and then java etc.
I have reloaded java and seem to have everything required to load lime wire but unfortunatley I still get the same error message
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
