Unhappy Cant Open Program- Java problems

Recently i tried to open Limewire and i got a message saying that the program had to exit b/c of a problem w/ my java virtual machine......i uninstalled limewire and reinstalled it, it still wouldnt open. I then uninstalled limewire and my java apps. from the add/remove programs. I then reinstalled Limewire and went to Sun's website to get my Java app also.....I still cant open the program and when my computer tries to use a java app., my browser just shuts down. Im assuming that the problem is w/ java b/c i tried to contact logitech's online help(for something else) and my computer just shuts down all internet explorer windows that i have. So now i cant open limewire and screwed up my java also....

Foxhunter,

You might try opening control panel, open Java, select the browser tab and uncheck IE and Netscape. If that cures your problem you can download another version of Java and assign that to your browser.

I run 1.4.1_04 with IE and 1.3.1_04 for Limewire.

Good Luck,

Norm

Foxhunter,

You should be able to either double click the Java icon to open it or right click the icon and select "open".

Foxhunter,

I would uninstall and reinstall Java if I were you.
