I seem to be having the same problem as a lot of others are having except when I try to install it again I get a message that says another installation is in progress and I must complete it before starting another. The thing is, there is no other installation going on. If this is how complicated and "fickle" this program is, maybe I'll just stick to WinMx.

Have you interupted the installation in any way? May I highly recommend you update your Installshield install engines. See here: http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108158 This link & a no. of others to do with installation problems are listed in the Sticky at the top of this section. I don't suppose you saw those stickies. In other words the problem is not the LW installer but your set up. It's like trying to fit a porsche engine into a mini mina or volkeswagon lol.
