when i try to install limewire it says

Even if your error message is not specifically mentioned, there are links to finding out what it is & probable solutions to it. May I recommend you update your installshield engines (link in the link I gave you above) & then update your Java before you install LW: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...radejava.shtml

Also whilst you are installing LW, don't have any other applications running & don't browse the internet. The dwnlding & installation of Java & LW needs 100% system attention.

thanks lord but im still getting the 1621 error and there is no setip.exe but theres a thing that says limewire installer which im guessing is the same thing and on the version on properties it starts with a 7

Try the international installer. It uses a different type of installer & is easier to install. But 1st update your Java: Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

Jeez you really do have an issue with your net connection & reliability!!! There's something definitely amiss there. I'd contact yur isp & complain about inconsistent results. Seriously you are receiving inconistent results in your dwnlding if you have failed at instlling 2 apps via the internet. I wouldn't recommend updating over the net in future but 1st dwnlding the standaline installers.

For LW international go here: Direct connect: http://mirrors.link.filefront.com/2 (it's a larger download but a much safer install. The side effect is the version of Java it demands which is Java 1.3)

Do you mean since you installed LW? I don't recommend running more than one p2p application at the one time. Kazaa & LW should not be run at the same time. Otherwise they'll compete for bandwidth, ram & cpu power.
