Default dodgy launcher now

Operating system: Windows XP SP2

I downloaded limewire originally and it all worked fine, but now when ever i click on the launcher on my desktop or in program files/limewire nothing happens, and i can't start the program up. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it's not launched since the first time i dl'd it. can anyone help please?

I'm using limewire v 4.4.0 off the download.com site, as of today. i tried all those solutions and nothing worked, it's still the same problem that when i double click on the launcher the egg timer appears for one second and then goes away, and nothing happens.
