Upgrade LW 4.6

I am currently running Limewire Client 4.2 and am thinking of updating via the link on the Client to LW 4.6. However, before I go ahead with this I have one query, will this remove the downloads and the progress made on my already queued Downloads or will the new LW essentially carry on from where I left off? I will be innstalling this to the same destination folder as my previous version 4.2, maybe this could be a bad idea?

As you can imagine I don't want to lose the progress made so far on my queued downloads.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would sugest you go ahead and upgrade. I would d/l and save the installer to my desktop, and run from there.

Thanks fabion, I'm still not sure however. Think that I might just wait for the downloads to complete and then upgrade, I'm also one for removing the old version, rather than installing 'over the top'. My own fault I guess.

LW 4.2 used a different type of installer so it might be wise to uninstall the previous version using your Programs Add/Remove Control panel. If it's not listed then you will find an uninstaller in your LW program folder. LW's download prefs will not be affected ... unless you downgrade LW.
