Reggie Miller is flying high
Unhappy I dont know if i'm connected or not.

First, i'm an AOL user, the dial-up service, and second, i'm new to this whole thing. I type stuff in the search boxes for music and its just blank, also theres a little row of red bars on the bottom left of the screen and i dont know if its good or bad. There is one tiny green bar filled but thats it, if there are any dial-up users or anyone in general who can help, please help me, PM me or send an email to Forum Rules (click here)

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?
10. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

11. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say "Your test worked!". What happens when you go there?

* No need to run without a firewall but just use one (2 can interfere with each other!) Configure it for LW's full access; instructions here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

* Try: uninstalling Java & re-installing it. Downld the Java installer & save it to your computer (don't install over the net!) A link to Java can be found here: Fixes for Limewire
