Hi there!
When i Install my Limwire 4.8.1(basic...) and i wanna start it...nothing happens... please can somebody tell me what to do?

I believe I have the same problem. I have tried the newest versions of Basic, Pro and Beta. I thought about going to an older version but don't want to deal with the Java thing again.

Before I do a new install I remove the old with add\remove then I manually erase the Limewire program files folder and scan the system with PestPatrol to remove the spyware (seemed to work in the past). I have scanned for viruses and have none.

Limewire worked one day then the next day nothing, when I click the icon the hourglass comes up for a second then nothing. I have tried starting from the startup menu, the shortcut and direct from program files.

Is Limewire down for everyone?

amazingly the exact same thing is happening to me. Once i click on the icon nothing happens... so frustrating

I saw there is another thread on the same subject and no one has a good answer... this sucks.

My anti-virus software is on the fritz so I cant scan. I think it has to be a virus because I dont see a ton of posts on this subject.

can't somebody who's got pro contact the Limewire Crew and talk to them?

Well now I don't feel like i have a BAD computer.. I am having the same thing happen to me. Well it HAS been happening to me.. For about a week now.. What is the deal.. This really sucks.....
