Angry needing to cancel order

I also ? limewire's email address. It would seem they want the money but They wont help a greenhorn Like Me to use the system. I used a credit card and I cant find a way to be re-enburst, so I am left with one solution, contact My card company and file a complaint against them due to there lack of concern.
If the company reads this I ask You to contact Me at My email address othewise I am filling a complaint.

We can help you (with any luck ... fingers crossed) at this forum. If you're having connection problems (I'm guessing b/c that's where you posted! lol ), then please post back the following details:

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

* Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

I'm experiencing similiar frustrations. Mine differs possibly in that I paid for Pro a couple of days ago, received a confirmation email then the download page would not recognise my (one and only) email address.

I'm not sure if I am a still a basic member after paying for pro membership, but I certainly can't get any email support.

Hence the forum posting. I'll wait another day, contact my credit card company and let them deal with the refund.

The contact limbo for paid up pro members and the subsequent time wasted with the complaint and reimbursement process sadly leaves a frustrated new (ex) customer.

It's a shame really, as I had found the basic product quite good.

I'd be interested to the company's reponse and would love to write to them directly, but I have no idea who to address an email, and my emails to "sales" and "feedback (2)" have gone unanswered.

What is this membership you are on about? I have been using LW Pro since May last year and there is no membership of any sort, type or kind.

Could it be that you got you membership from a scam site, that's why you get no response to your e-mails?

Read 'membership' as purchased pro software rather than continued with basic software.

The site was not the scam site, it was the real one.

Since writing on this forum, I have had a direct email reponse from Limewire, and seem to have got the problems ironed out.

I am glad you were not another victim of the scammers, as you go through this forum you can't help but notice the amount of people that have gone running into the clutches of the scammers then find their way back here to vent their misplaced righteous anger.

Sorry, but I thought you were one of those (righteous anger) gullible newbies.
