Short: If I install Java before LimeWire, the LimeWire installation tells me to uninstall Java and try to install LimeWire again; if I try to install LimeWire first it tells me it can't install Java, and when I try to manually install Java afterwards, it still will not run.
Long: I downloaded LimeWire Basic 4.8.1 recently but am having trouble with the installation. When I try to install the installation gave me an error when trying to install Java and said that LimeWire would work after I install the latest Java Runtime. I went to java.com and did that and it still said i don't have a good version. I then uninstalled both java and LimeWire and tryed to reinstall by installing java first, but if I do that the LimeWire installation still tries to install Java and can't so it tells me to uninstall previous versions of java. |
