Maximizing LW from Sys Tray

Anyone have this problem: When I minimize LW to the sys tray and open it backup, it takes anywhere from 3 to five minutes for the LW to 'come up'. I see bits and pieces of the window, but most of it just doesn't fill in. Not to mention that LW is slow to respond. As soon as I minimize, everything is fine. I have a clean install of WinXP Pro and am running 4.9.11. ANy boady have anything helpful to throw towards this?
