I recently had to re-intall Windows XP Professional on my computer. I had limwire on my computer before I had to re-intall, but now I cannot install it. I have tried to download the free version of limewire from the main website for the past three days. It opens the file, and starts to download, but then I get a message that says:
Error opening file for writing. C:\DOCUME~1\ADMIN~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\jrestub.exe I don't know what this means. Can someone please help me? |

It looks like a problem with your Java. Your new installation of Java may have been corrupted or incomplete.
What I'd recommend is uninstalling Java using your Add/Remove Programs Control panel. Then downld Java installer to your computer (don't install it over the net!!!) Then install Java from your computer. This will hopefully fix it. |
